Give the S&S tree or a perk that reduces or limits stamina damage from big hits.Remove dodges from heavy armour (like why is it even a thing?) as compensation.Scale down resistance on heavy armour, but add a large amount to tower shields, so you only get the highest resistance while actively using a shield (S&S).Add more perks and weapon tree upgrades for Fortify or some other sort of resistance stat.Add some sort of resistance to stuns (GRIT doesn’t work on hard stuns), whether it’s reduced duration or that it hits stamina. ![]() For the aspect of actually tanking big things: There are a few different things I keep thinking of that could be done for tanks, but there are a lot of options/opinions out there for what can be done to help. And I agree, full/mostly con tanks only have a few rolls they can fill. You rarely see tanks in this game run full con outside of memes - 21-22k hp is fun but it just buys the tank an extra few seconds if theyre being focused. They have a wide variety of niches they can fit in this game. I feel like you have this misconception from other games where tanks are just meat shields and do nothing. Hell - they can set up executes whenever they want. They will take next to no damage and chunk health bars. If you think they can’t then you haven’t met a 200/200 (divy up the rest of the points based on playstyle) sword/shield and great axe (or hatchet…) user. Tanks can run dex, foc or int as well and still provide utility to the group. Folks who are grinding for specific drops from bosses will be bring 1-2 groups - not 2+.Īs well - tanks aren’t just 500CON, or a generic 100-200 STR and 300-400CON. Well maybe not a portal but Im sure if enough people have potions and gear you can probably body a portal guardian.Īnywho, just because zergs exist doesn’t invalidate tanks from elite areas. Just keep throwing bodies until shit dies. All images are property the copyright holder and are displayed here for informational purposes only.Well if you’re zerging, you don’t even need a healer.
